We have been proudly offering dog walking services in the core Halifax and Dartmouth areas since 2013. We offer more than your average dog walks! We take dogs for off leash wilderness hikes in beautiful wilderness areas that encompass the HRM.
It is recommended that dogs get an hour of per day. The quality of that exercise is paramount. High arousal exercise like hitting the park with a Chuck it for 30 minutes can be hard on the body and the mind. On leash walks around the block pounding the pavement are not enough for most dogs. Decompression walks have been becoming a more popular topic in the dog training and dog sports world as of late. A decompression walk is described as "a walk where the dog is allowed freedom of movement in nature". Hire a dog walker that allow dogs to unwind from the stresses of being a city dog, and to fun, sniff, chase, play, be silly .... ultimately, to let them be dogs.
We pick up your dog from your home, they hop in the van with the rest of their dog friends, and we drive them to one of our favorite wilderness spots where they have the opportunity to be dogs. They can sniff all those foresty smells, chase the other dogs, and find rivers and lakes to take a dunk in. We are letting dogs be dogs in environments that offer lots of natural enrichment.
